MEDIRAD at ECR 2020

MEDIRAD will have a healthy dose of representation at the upcoming European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2020 to be held in Vienna, Austria, from 11-15 March 2020.

The following MEDIRAD presentations will be featured:

  • A Hybrid Reporting platform for extended RadLex coding combining Structured Reporting Templates and Natural Language Processing (WP2) by Florian Jungmann, Peter Mildenberger and colleagues from the University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University - Mainz (DE), will be presented as a EPOS Scientific Poster Research Presentation.
  • Design of an Image and Radiation Dose Biobank (IRDBB) as a support for research on low dose radiation exposure in medical imaging (WP2) will be presented as part of the Voice of EPOS session 'EuroSafe Imaging - Procedures, Policy, Research' by Jöel Spaltenstein, and Osman Ratib from the University of Geneva (CH), Peter Mildenberger from University Medical Center of the Johannes Gutenberg University - Mainz, Bernard Gibaud from the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM, FR), and Guillaume Pasquier from B-COM (FR).
  • Assessing risk of cancer following low doses of ionising radiation from  CT scanning in childhood and adolescence: cohort and nested case-control studies in the MEDIRAD project (WP5) by Isabelle Thierry-Chef (ISGlobal, ES) and other colleagues from the MEDIRAD consortium in the EuroSafe imaging Poster Exhibition.
  • An update on European research on Implications of Medical Low Dose Radiation Exposure (MEDIRAD) by the Clinical and Scientific Coordinators, Prof. Elisabeth Cardis (ISGlobal, ES) and Prof. Guy Frija (UPDescartes, FR) will be presented in the EuroSafe imaging Poster Exhibition.
